Solutions to gas mark and welding line during part injection (2)

Couples of inserts should be added on the place (core side), where gas mark exists

1 ) Add venting inserts on core inserts;
2) Change the injection gate or enlarge injection gate or increase sprue dimension;
3) Add plastic material or add strengthen rib on part bottom;
4) Inject by high pressure and low plastic speed;
5) Increase the mold temperature;

Welding mark is on the direction opposite injection gate, inject whole part by adjusting injection parameter, to change the short material area to the break line to see if both gates of break line are smooth, if yes, it’s welding line.

In terms of the cause of welding line, to reduce welding line, plastic speed or possibility of material “join after split-flow”during part injection has to be reduced.

See below methods to reduce or avoid such phenomenon,
1) Increase mold temperature;
2) Adjust the injection speed;
3) Well-vented;
4) Keep mold surface clean;
5) Adjust injection pressure and packing pressure
