Solutions to gas mark and welding line during part injection (1)

For plastic molds, a mark will be found during part injection, while how to judge if it’s gas mark or welding line?
Gas mark is mainly caused by bad mold venting, the color will be dull comparing with well-vented ones; Welding line is caused by the fact that, plastic material formed welding line when it’s in mold cavity, and the welding line is unavoidable, but it can be reduced by increasing plastic speed, mold temperature and injection pressure to meet expected surface aspect.
“gas mark”is simply defined as something like frog marks or marks formed by gas. But after all it’s stress gas, gas mark is initially formed from injection gate, how to identify it? One method is to identify by constant trial-error, another way is to apply some theory to obtain some rational data for easy judgement, the method can reduce time cost in trial-error, or even can succeed after 1st trial.
